We truly understand that selecting the right school for your children takes time and information. That is why we are inviting you to come and visit our school. Just give us a call, and we’ll be happy to set up an appointment to tour the school, visit classrooms, and watch our students and teachers in action.

At Milwaukee Jewish Day School, we are more than just a school. We are a community of caring teachers and staff, parents, grandparents, alumni and friends. HOW TO APPLY FOR FALL 2006

We are delighted that you are interested in applying to Milwaukee Jewish Day School. To receive an application packet, schedule your visit, or to receive more information about our program, please contact the Admissions Office, (414) 967-8314, ssilber@mjds.org. 

We look forward to your visit and hope you can attend one of our many special events such as Folk Fair, Middle School History Fair, Shabbat Sing, an athletic meet, and any of our upcoming theater productions. The students and teachers look forward to meeting you during the admissions season.

ADMISSIONS GUIDELINES

1. School Visit -- Call the Admissions Office to schedule a school tour and meet with the Directors.

2. Enrollment Application -- Complete the following, and return it to the Admissions Office by March 1. Include with your application:

  • Enrollment Application form

  • Signed Release of Information form

  • Non-refundable fee of $75

  • Copy of your child’s birth certificate

3. Release of Information and Student Observation -- MJDS will send the Release of Information form to your child’s current school. Kindergarten applicants may be observed at their pre-schools.

4. Admissions Acceptance -- Acceptance letters are mailed in May and throughout the summer as records are evaluated.

Children must be 4 years old by September 1 to enter Jr. Kindergarten, and 5 years old by September 1 to enter Sr. Kindergarten. Students for grades 1-8 are welcome to spend time visiting MJDS in their current grade class.
