The MJDS Board of Directors is comprised of parent and community members who serve as fiduciaries of the school and are responsible for setting policy and long range planning. The Board meets monthly, and all meetings are open to MJDS parents.

The Board has the responsibility and authority to govern the school’s affairs, including:

• Selecting and retaining the Head of School
• Establishing and fulfilling the school’s mission and policies
• Protecting the school’s long-term and current financial integrity, including annual budgets, fundraising, endowment funds and investment policies
