Artistic expression through visual arts, drama and music is an intergral part of the Middle School education. Omanut is the art elective program for our Middle School. Students enjoy a wide variety of instrumental group lessons, choir and the musical along with a diverse number of other arts classes. Some examples of those classes include painting, printmaking, quilting, knitting, calligraphy, computer graphics, cooking, sculpture, saxaphone, flute, piano, African drums, and creative writing. Classes are taught by Milwaukee musicians and artists who come to MJDS specifically for these lessons two hours each week.
