In fifth grade science, we begin the year studying process skills.  Then we study buoyancy and density, light, living things, nutrition, and the circulatory system.  During the winter, we travel to the Riveredge Nature Center to study pond life using microscopes.  In the spring, the students write a research paper about a human body system.  Please look in the chart below for links to each unit.
