Students visit the lab twice each week. They receive instruction on Internet safety and are issued individual passwords for log in to our network and e-mail. Students use KidPix to create slides for multimedia presentations. They learn how to name and save files. Students search for information on the internet to help them write reports and import graphics. Productivity software such as Microsoft Word is used to create reports. They gather data that is entered into Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and produce and manipulate charts illustrating the data. Students spend time learning how to navigate the World Wide Web using Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. They visit educational sites such as Funbrain, Tangrams, PBS, Scholastic and Torah Tots to play games.
