Students visit the lab twice each week. They learn computer programming in Scratch, an application that has a graphic interface with drag and drop commands. Students learn file management and how to save to and retrieve files from multiple locations. They fine-tune their word processing skills, create charts in Excel and learn how to glean information from the Internet. Email management and attachments, Internet safety, and choosing appropriate web sites are also addressed. Type to Learn is used to teach keyboarding skills.
