 MyGradeBook
Click on this site for seventh graders to get practice at grammar skills and several tests and to receive extra credit. Follow the directions very carefully.
1. When you get to MyGradeBook.com, you see where to log in (top right hand side). Enter "mjds2011" where it asks for "classword." Where it asks for your password, write your individual password. Each of you has been given your own password.
2. When you have completed the log-in, you will see a page with your name on it and the words "Online Quizzes Due Today" somewhere on the page. If you click on "See all online assigned quizzes," you get into the entire list.
3. The list is in alphabetical order by topic. Click on any quiz. Once you start a quiz, you need to complete it. If you quit in the middle of a quiz, you will receive a score showing that you only got the number of answers correct out of all the possible questions. In other words, if there are 10 questions and you stop at number five, you will get a score of 50%, regardless if you had gotten all the previous questions correct. So give yourself time to take the entire quiz. Read directions very carefully. Adding an extra space can give you an incorrect answer.
4. After you have taken a quiz/test, you will see the results answers and a score. Adon Ross will be mailed a report of your results 24 hours later. Remember that only scores of 70% or higher will receive extra credit, but there is nothing wrong with just taking the quiz for practice.
5. So far, most of the quizzes in Adon Ross's lists have been created by other teachers. If you have questions about your answers or about the test themselves, be sure to talk to Adon Ross. Yes, there may actually be some incorrect answers.
6. If you have read through all the directions above, you should have no problems getting into the site and working the quizzes. Somewhere in this paragaphr is a misspelled word. If you tell Adon Ross that word, you will get an extra credit point.
